About the Fart studio
Fart is a one-person painting studio running under the MojKram.pl brand. The brush belongs to Leonardo Di Carpio, a self-taught painter who spent years trying to paint "something nice" before discovering that his best work always has a second layer. At first glance every piece in the gallery looks like a classic portrait, landscape or genre scene, but look a little longer and you will spot the detail that changes the whole story. That moment of surprise is exactly why people pick a Fart painting as a gift.
Most of the work is oil on canvas, but the gallery also includes watercolours and an original T-shirt design. Some paintings can be bought straight away on Allegro Lokalnie (a Polish marketplace); everything else is painted to order.
Custom paintings and portraits
The most popular commissions are pet portraits (dogs, cats and other furry family members) and portraits of people in unexpected settings. You can order a perfectly serious painting, but the studio's speciality is a gift with a sense of humour: your boss as a Renaissance prince, your cat as the hero of a meme, your aunt in the style of Leonardo da Vinci or the family dog drifting through outer space. For ideas, browse the gallery, starting with Lady with a raccoon, Pugs or Cocca and Makłowicz.
How to order a painting
- Describe your idea. Tell us who or what to paint, the mood you want and the occasion. Attach a few clear photos.
- Agree on the details. Canvas size, composition, colours and deadline. These also set the price.
- Sketch and painting. Once you approve the sketch, the painting is built up layer by layer in oils.
- Final touches. When the painting is finished you can ask for small corrections, so it turns out exactly the way you imagined.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a custom painting take?
Anywhere from a few weeks to a few months, depending on the canvas size and the amount of detail. Oil paint dries slowly, so order well ahead if the painting is meant for a birthday, a wedding or Christmas.
Can you paint from a photo?
Yes, most portraits are painted from photos you send. The sharper and better lit the photo, the more character makes it onto the canvas.
Does every painting have to hide a joke?
No. You can order a completely serious portrait with no surprises, or give the artist free rein and let yourself be surprised.
How much does a custom painting cost?
The price depends on the size of the painting, the number of figures and how complex it is. Email [email protected], describe your idea and you will get a quote.
